Dr Ross Anderson

Dr Anderson joined the surgery at the start of January and will be locuming with us for the next 12 months. 

Some patients may remember Ross from when he was with us for the first 6 months of 2010.  It is a pleasure to have him back with us and we are sure our patients will welcome Ross on board and will find him a very engaging and competent practitioner.

Taupo Health Centre has joined with 104 local Taupo Businesses to promote shopping locally.
Every week customers must purchase from a participating business in order to enter for winning
one of the weekly prize's of 2 x $1,000 worth of groceries.

In order to qualify for an entry with Taupo Health Centre we are offering automatic entry to the
Fill Ya Fridge competition with every completed Childhood Immunisation or Cervical Smear.

For the next two months every patient who completes a childhood immunisation or cervical smear will
be given an entry form to complete for that weeks entry.

5 Month Locum

We are delighted to announce that Dr Natalie Clarke will be joining our team on the 1st November for a 5 month period.  Dr Clarke is an experienced GP from Canada and I'm sure patients will join us in making her feel welcome during her stay.

New Patients

We have several Doctors who are accepting new patients onto their books.  If you would like to transfer or register with a Doctor from this surgery, please ask at reception and they will be able to help you through the process thats required.

Free Diabetic Checks

Have you had yours this year?
Diabetics are entitled to 1 FREE check up every year.  If its been longer than 10 months since you last had yours, give the surgery a ring and ask to speak to the diabeties nurse.  She will organise an appointment for you.

Cardio Vascular Risk Checks

Our nurses are currently checking our registered population recording CVRA's (Cardio Vascular Risk Assessments).  If you've not had your cholesterol checked or blood pressure, height & weight recorded within the previous 5 years, now is a good time to give one of our nurses a call on 378 0707.
